of every current year during the said term a yearly rent or sum of Dollars
and YIELDING and paying a Royalty
on all the produce of the said mines at the rate of ten per centum to be calculated in the manner hereinafter prescribed and YisDING and paying a further yearly rent at the rate of fifty Dollars per Acre for such parts of the surface of the Area included in this
as may demise consisting of Crown waste land from time to time be occupied

by the Lessee for the purpose either of working mines or for the erection of any buildings or works which the Lessee is permitted to erect under these presents or for the purpose of depositing or storing minerais, metals, Gre and other substances (excepting any spoil or debris), the Area so occupied to be ascertained by the Land Officer or by any other person appointed for the purpose by the Governor of hongkong and the amount of rent payable to oe fixed by him or them at intervals of six months AND YIELDING and paying a further yearly rent at the rate of $5 per acre for such parts of
the surface of the area included in the demise consisting of Crown Haste Land as ray from time to time be used by the Lessee for the purpose of depositing any spoil or debris resulting from the work- -ing of the mines, the aree used to be ascertained by the Land üfficer, or by any other person appointed for the puroose by the Governor of Hongkong, and the amount of rent payable to be fixed
by him or ther at interval of six months PROVIDED that such last mentioned rent shall cease to be payable in respect of any part of the area so used for the deposit of spoil or debris as the bessee
may cease to use for that purpose and upon such cesser such aree shall revert to is said Majesty AND IT IS HOROBY DECLARED that for the purpose of calculating the Royalty payable hereunder the
Lessee shall keep accurate books of account of the amount realised
mines and expended by him in working, getting and disposing of metals and minerals hereunder and the lessee shall pay into the Colonial
Treasury
